Art Works Now's Discover Freedom: Art and Book Club

Activate your mind with subjects surrounding Activism, Racism, Gender Equality and Education. Read the following books:

  • "You Can Change the World!: Everyday teen heroes making a difference everywhere"
  • "All American Boys"
  • "I am Malala: How One Girl Stood Up for Education and Changed the World"

Create your own art based on these themes in your journal. Bring drawing, painting and collage materials to class each week along with a journal to work in. For your final project design and create your own Art Book in your voice.

Note: This program is designed for ages 13 to 17.

Dates: Saturdays, Sept. 19-Oct. 24 (Session 1); Saturdays, Nov. 7-Dec. 12 (Session 2)

Place: Online via Zoom

Cost: $35 per session. (Note: Pricing options of $25 and $15 are available.)
