Music Therapy Class | Sat., Sept. 21 | 1:00 pm | 1731 Bunker Hill Rd., NE
Levine Music is coming to the HSC Pediatric Center on Saturday, September 21 at 1:00 for a music therapy class. This class is geared toward children cognitively age 3-8. See the description below. Space is limited, so please be sure to email Robyn Winston Cohen at RWinstonCohen@Hschealth.org to let her know you are coming.

In this inclusive music class, co-taught by a First Music instructor and a board-certified music therapist, children and their caregivers will engage in a wide variety of musical activities designed to foster a love for music, to develop foundational music skills, and to enhance non-musical developmental skills. The curriculum is designed to engage children in age-appropriate musical skills while meeting the individualized learning and developmental needs of each child in a small group setting. Group content includes:

  • Instrument playing to develop rhythmic competency and self-regulation
  • Singing for listening skills and expressive communication
  • Movement activities to develop motor skills and spatial awareness
  • Musical stories and games to foster peer awareness and socialization

Horseback Riding | Sun., Sept. 22 | 10:00am-12:00pm | 1141 Sunrise Beach Rd., Crownsville, MD
Join us for therapeutic horseback riding at Maryland Therapeutic Riding Center in Anne Arundel County, MD. Kids will ride a horse and also learn about horse education. Kids must be at least 6 years old and weigh less than 200 pounds. Since space is very limited, your spot is not saved until all of the forms in the Rider Application Packet have been completed by your child's physician and submitted to Robyn Winston Cohen at Rwinston@hschealth.org. The packet is due by September 18th. Click here to download the companion Rider Manual. Please note: Your completed paperwork is good for one year.
