Summer Games will be held from May 10-21 at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. More than 800 athletes along with coaches, volunteers, chaperones, family members, and spectators will attend the games. Come and join our athletes during our Summer Games as they demonstrate their courage and determination over five days of sports competition.

Over 1000 volunteers are needed to assist with the games. Volunteers will assist with set-up and cleanup, event logistics, competitions, score keeping, athlete registration, and awarding. Volunteers must be age 14+ unless accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone. In addition, volunteers are needed to serve on the Games Management Team and assist with competition, fundraising, logistics, media, and volunteer recruitment.

A general volunteer orientation will be held each day during the games. This orientation will also include a job-specific training session. No prior Special Olympics or sports experience is necessary as each Summer Games function will be reviewed and all questions addressed. Volunteer shifts are from 8:30am to 2:00pm.
