The DC Mayor's Scholars Undergraduate Program 2019-20 application will open on Monday, April 15, 2019, and close on Monday, July 1, 2019. The Mayor’s Scholars Undergraduate Program (formerly Mayor’s Scholars Undergraduate Fund) provides need-based funding for eligible DC residents earning their first associate’s or bachelor’s degree at select area colleges and universities. The program is a last-dollar award designed to fill the gap between a student’s financial aid package and the cost of attendance. Typically, recipients of Mayor’s Scholars funding can receive up to $4,000 per academic year, for up to four years for an associate’s degree, and up to six years for a bachelor’s degree. GED/NEDP applicants will be able to apply to the Mayor’s Scholars Undergraduate Program on a semester-based cycle. Applications will need to be in by a certain date depending on the semester students wish to begin their postsecondary education. The deadlines are as follows:

Summer semester start - April 15

Fall semester start - June 30

Spring semester start - Dec. 15
