Senate Disability Employment and Internship Opportunities

Tuesday, January 22 - Tuesday, January 29, 2019

Contact: Josh Dubensky   Josh_Dubensky@aging.senate.gov   (202) 228-3771

Sponsored by: United States Congress

In 2019 we plan to continue our efforts to increase the employment of individuals with disabilities in the United States Congress. Please continue to spread the word and guide individuals to the Resume Bank at the Senate Democratic Diversity Office. If you know anyone interested in working or interning for the Senate, they can create an account and submit an application HERE. Open positions are also regularly posted on the Senate Employment Bulletin. If you have any questions regarding applications or the efforts of the Diversity Office, you can contact Sam Flood at Sam_Flood@schumer.senate.gov.

Based on feedback from the Senate Diversity Initiative, please make sure that individuals looking for positions, carefully review the job boards and only apply to positions for which they have relevant experience. The Diversity Initiatives receives thousands of applications, and a targeted application that lays out an applicant’s qualifications for a specific position can go a lot further than blanket applications to a wide range of positions.

We hope you will share this information with as many of your colleagues and members as possible and do so on a regular basis. If you have any questions, please contact Josh Dubensky, Policy Aide, at Josh_Dubensky@aging.senate.gov or (202) 228-3771. Thank you for your assistance as we work to make the Congressional workforce a reflection of those we serve.
