Ivymount Offers Highly Effective Interventions and Programs on Saturdays for Students with Special Needs and on the Autism Spectrum!

Unstuck and On Target! is a program designed for students who are on or above grade level academically.

Designed by curriculum co-authors Monica Adler Werner, Lynn Cannon, and Katie Alexander, the Unstuck and On Target! Ivymount Saturday Program is an intensive executive function and social intervention learning experience for the entire family. This semester-long program is perfect for children (ages 7-14) who struggle to understand:

  • Self-Advocacy
  • Compromise
  • How to Be a Friend
  • The Difference Between "Big Deal" and "Little Deal" Situations
  • Emotional Self-Identification
  • Executive Functioning Skills
  • Verbal and Non-verbal Social Cues
  • How to be a Successful Member of a Group
  • How to Be Flexible

Ivymount's Unstuck program is implemented by an author-selected and trained team of highly experienced professionals who also teach the curriculum on a daily basis within Ivymount's Model Asperger Program.

Unstuck & On Target! includes weekly parent educational groups to teach families how to embed strategies in dozens of everyday scenarios, from morning routines to getting homework done. Our teachers give parents the skills they need to help their children successfully navigate each day, reach their goals, and succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Student and parent classes will be held on Saturday for 12 weeks beginning on February 4th and ending on May 20th (no groups Feb 18th, April 8th, April 15th and April 29th).

To register, please complete this APPLICATION. As part of the application process, candidates will be asked to come in for an observational playdate session. Priority is based on order of receipt of application as well as the candidate's fit with the group.

*All applications must be received by January 24th to be considered for the spring program.

LISS funding accepted for Maryland students.
